Assess and evaluate training with proSports.Zone
As a coach, you know the situation: You have the feeling that the training was quite good, that this or that player performed the tasks well or simply scored points with you through their commitment.
A detailed evaluation of each training session helps you to develop a more objective picture of your players' performance. And it's about more than just recording attendance! Training is where your players spend most of their time on the pitch, and where you as a coach invest most of your time. A good and objective analysis of training should therefore be a matter of course, because this is where you develop the players and ensure their development.
With proSports.Zone, you evaluate the training of each individual player based on 4 criteria: Motivation, commitment, understanding and implementation.
You also have a field for your comments and notes that you can make on the player.
Why these 4 criteria for training evaluation?
In various brainstorming sessions with various coaches from smaller and larger clubs, we agreed on these 4 criteria because, in our opinion, they cover what is important for training. And you can award school grades for all criteria, so a 1 is the best value or a "very good", a 6 is the worst possible value, an "unsatisfactory".
Motivation
How did the player get to training? Was he already not in the mood or was he full of anticipation? How did this initial motivation show and change during training?
Commitment
Did the player really make an effort and get stuck in during training? Did he try to go to his limits? Did he try to fulfill the tasks set to the best of his ability and with the greatest possible commitment?
Understanding
How did the player understand the tasks? Did they understand the exercise sequences or tactical tasks? In short: Did he know what he had to do?
Implementation
And the understanding should then lead to implementation. In other words, what the coach explained or demonstrated should then be put into practice by the player. How did he do this? Were they able to implement and apply the technical and/or tactical explanations in the exercise/game form?
