ReCap Football Congress 2019 in Berlin

Berlin in October. Stadium "An der alten Försterei". That alone is worth the trip. If we can combine this experience with an event where we get to know exciting people from the world of soccer, then we'd love to be there.

The soccer congress took place in Germany on 10.10.2019. In that very legendary stadium, the home of Union Berlin. And so Alexander and Ronny traveled to the capital full of joy and with the new exhibition stand in their luggage. Simply to find out who and what they would see and get to know at the congress and to fly the flag for proSports.Zone.

Eisern Union - The old Försterei

First of all, a song of praise for the stadium. The Alte Försterei in the Wuhlheide is a gem. If you haven't visited it yet: Catch up! Well, it will be difficult if you want to combine it with a home game of the 1st team of Union Berlin, because as our friendly stadium guide told us, the home games are basically all sold out. Nevertheless: a small and cozy stadium with lots of lovely details. For the fans, with the fans, by the fans. This is a living community!

The soccer congress took place in the VIP area of the stadium, a great atmosphere here too. The congress day was packed with interesting presentations and discussions. And, as befits a proper congress, with good food. Of course with the obligatory currywurst when you're in Berlin and a freshly tapped beer at the end.

Macher, Money, Medien

Das Board des Fußballkongress war namhaft besetzt. So waren unter anderem Fredi Bobic, Oliver Ruhnert, Markus Kraetschmer, Jan Schindelmeiser, Michael Köllner, Markus Schupp, Paul Scharner, Fritz Schmid and Georg Martin were present as speakers and participants. Concentrated football expertise from former professionals, professional coaches and managers in professional clubs.

Florian Kainz spoke in detail about the Hachinger Weg, the IPO of the (current) third division club SpVgg Unterhaching. He took us along on the path that those involved took at the time, immersing us in the thoughts and considerations that led to the founding of the public limited company, a path that has essentially only just begun.

In the discussion round, in which Fredi Bobic and Jan Schindelmeiser, among others, then took part, the topic of legal forms and the capitalization of soccer clubs was also discussed. For us, these were exciting facts and insights into the inner workings of professional clubs.

The topics of communication and social media were also discussed from the perspective of the clubs and in the area of conflict between the media, players, fans and managers.

A day as intense as a cup match

As an exhibitor at the congress, we were unfortunately unable to attend all the sessions, but we were there to present our proSports.zone to coaches and decision-makers. At our stand, we had some great conversations with expert decision-makers who immediately got to grips with us and the solution.

As a start-up, we had the opportunity to present our products and solutions on stage with our colleagues from the Start-up Corner. Anton Pichler moderated this small desk and asked each participant to present their solution in 60 seconds. Well, either the clocks run slower in Austria or Anton meant well with all of us. :-)Many thanks for the longest minute!

At the end of the day, we had the good feeling that we had had a great day, met lots of new people and expanded our network. Several of our fancy new brochures were handed over, business cards were exchanged, and since we arrived at the congress completely relaxed and without great expectations, we can say that these were exceeded by far!

Conclusion

Events and congresses are also great occasions in sport and especially in soccer, offering the opportunity to meet the movers and shakers and decision-makers in person. It was a great day for us.

We would like to mention a few really cool people and products with whom we had a lot of fun in the exhibitor area on the day of the congress. If you ever come across these companies, it's definitely worth stopping by.

Finteo

The new crowdinvesting platform also offers its services to athletes and sports clubs. In addition to the possibility of raising capital outside the usual channels (banks, savings banks, sponsors?), the idea of community and fan loyalty is an exciting aspect.website: https://finteo.de

TimeWaver Sport

Frequency-specific microcurrent and cell regeneration through FSM: Alexander Diehl was very patient in explaining this to us in more detail and showing us the difference to 'classic' stimulation current. stimulation current. His system has been used successfully in top-level and professional sport in the USA for many years. Exciting topics for the physios in the clubs! The first participants were energized directly at the congress :-)Website: https://www.timewaver-sport.com

TriplePlay

We had long and interesting discussions with Thomas Eisentraut from TriplePlay. We quickly talked shop about the possibilities of combining his system with ours and thus creating more synergies for the club and the coaches and added value for spectators and visitors. We will definitely tackle this! And if you want to know more about the possibilities of digital signage, IPTV and video streaming in the stadium or wherever you want, take a look at TriplePlay.website: https://www.tripleplay.tv/de/

Finally, thanks to the team around Anton Pichler, who organized a great congress day and were always very concerned about our well-being as exhibitors - it was fun! See you soon!
